Olly believes there's a mathematical formula for love. When Molly catches him taking notes on a date, they enter into a wager, but as the pair's connection grows the question remains: will Olly's formula fail or is love really just a number?

Love is Just a Number is a narrative short film shooting in Cornwall in January/February 2023.

Help a group of students trying to promote a social issue and expose the challenges of youthful dating while bringing a smile to people's faces. Olly has decided there is a mathematical formula to love and is going date to date, working on his formula when Molly, the waitress at the bar, discovers him scoring percentages during a date. When she confronts him on this, they disagree on Olly’s methods and enter into a wager - if Olly can’t find someone with a score higher than 100 in just a couple of months, then Molly will burn his notebook and formula - if he does, then he can find Molly a date on Tinder. As Olly goes date to date, his formula develops, but so does his and Molly’s relationship, causing them to build an intimacy with one another. In the end, Olly isn’t able to find his true love through his formula, but he and Molly realize that against their instincts, they have developed an affection for each other naturally.
