We are tremendously happy to announce that Faizbakhsh has been released and reunited with his family approximately after 5 months. 

What else could be more joyful on the first day of the New Year other than family reunion. 

Faizbakhsh and his entire family is thankful to those who raised their voices, stood by his family and helped them get through these tough conditions. 

Although Faizullah was never charged with a crime, and he is now free, he will no longer be able to work with foreign journalists or filmmakers. He will however try to continue his own film practice, but he will have no means of employment. Unfortunately the economic situation in Afghanistan is still very difficult. For this reason we hope that you will consider contributing to this campaign, so that Faizullah is able to support his two year-old son and eight months pregnant wife; in addition to his parents, as he is also their primary financial provider.
