Hi. I am Jim and I would like to tell you about my daughter, Faith Viens. Faith is a courageous young woman of 25. She lives in her own home in Kansas City and has worked for a few years as the manager of a local grocery store bakery. Faith has had a variety of health issues in her young adult life, chief of which is that she had her left arm amputated a couple of years ago due to a vascular issue she has had since she was about 5 years old.
The condition was progressive, and she lived in constant pain for years. After she consulted with her doctors, she made the hard choice to have her arm amputated. Since that time, Faith has moved on and continued to support herself.
She bought a house a year ago and has done a great job fixing it up. She has continued to do her job well in spite of her new handicap. In her spare time, she is a homebody and has enjoyed gardening, cooking, and making art. She paints beautifully and has been doing all this with only one arm. More recently, Faith has had issues with her good arm. She has been seeing doctors for the issue, and she has had to have surgery on her right hand now.
This will mean she will need to be off work for a considerable time to recuperate after surgery. Because she has used up all of her extended medical leave, her employer has decided to terminate Faith. They say she can reapply for her job when she recovers.
This causes Faith a lot of worry in addition to worrying about what kind of work she may be able to do going forward. She has no other income and is unable to obtain disability until at least July of 2026. She is afraid she will have to sell her house and has no way to pay her bills and day-to-day expenses while she recovers. I believe if anyone needs a helping hand, it's Faith.
In her own right, she is a generous, hard-working person with a can-do attitude who wants to maintain her independence. I would like to help Faith; unfortunately, I can't just sit down and write her a check, so I would like to invite anyone who would like to help to please do so with whatever you can afford. It will go a long way. Thank you and God Bless.
