Kia ora,
My name is Michael Minhinnick, and I’m reaching out to you as a proud Hawke’s Bay dad with an incredibly special opportunity for our two daughters, Faith and Pixie.
Faith is 11 and Pixie is 9, and both girls have earned the opportunity to represent Aotearoa New Zealand at the 2027 World Hip Hop Dance Championships in Hong Kong.
This journey means so much more than just a dance competition.
Faith has Tourette’s Syndrome and ADHD, and dance has become so much more than a hobby for her. It is her outlet, her passion and a place where she can truly be herself.
When Faith is dancing, she has a way of turning all that energy into something incredibly positive. Dance has helped give her confidence, purpose and a place where she can focus on what she loves.
And Faith has already shown just how far that passion can take her.
In 2024, Faith proudly represented New Zealand at a World Hip Hop Dance event in Australia, where she helped bring home a GOLD MEDAL for Aotearoa.
Watching our daughter stand there representing her country was one of the proudest moments our family has ever experienced.
Now she has another opportunity to do it again — and this time, her younger sister Pixie is joining her on the journey.
Pixie has also fallen in love with dance and has worked incredibly hard alongside her sister. Together, the girls have achieved outstanding results at competitions throughout New Zealand, including 1st and 2nd place finishes, earning them their place to represent New Zealand on the world stage in Hong Kong.
For two young Hawke’s Bay girls, this is an enormous achievement.
Behind those medals are countless hours of training, early mornings, weekends spent travelling to competitions, determination, setbacks, tears, laughter and two sisters who simply love to dance.
Our family is now working hard to raise the funds needed to get them to Hong Kong.
We would love your business to be part of their journey.
We’re approaching a small number of Hawke’s Bay businesses whose support of local people, sport and community makes a genuine difference.
In return for your sponsorship, we want to give your business genuine exposure and recognition, both leading up to the event and while the girls are overseas representing New Zealand.

If you choose to provide merchandise or clothing, the girls would be incredibly proud to wear it around the community and help promote your business.
Why this means so much to us
We understand that not every business can contribute a large amount.
Every contribution, big or small, brings Faith and Pixie one step closer to Hong Kong.
For us, this isn’t simply about getting two kids overseas for a dance competition.
It’s about giving Faith the opportunity to continue doing something that has become such a positive and important part of her life.
Faith has Tourette’s and ADHD, but those things don’t define what she can achieve.
We hope that by seeing Faith dance, compete and represent her country, other children who may be struggling with their own challenges can see that what makes them different doesn’t have to stop them from pursuing their dreams.
It’s also about giving Pixie the opportunity to experience this incredible journey alongside her sister.
And ultimately, it’s about two young Hawke’s Bay girls having the chance to stand on an international stage, look up at the New Zealand flag, and know that their community helped them get there.
We would be incredibly proud to have your business standing behind them.
If you’re interested in supporting Faith and Pixie, I’d be more than happy to send through further information, photos, competition results and our sponsorship details — or come and have a chat with you personally.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read their story and consider becoming part of their journey.
Ngā mihi,
Michael Minhinnick
