My name is Faith, and I’m reaching out because my family and I are facing a difficult time after a string of bad luck. Recently, a tree fell at my apartment complex and completely crushed my car, leaving it a total loss. That car was my only way to get to work and provide for my sons and my family.
You may be asking, why didn't insurance cover this? This was because the insurance lapsed; in order to fit childcare availability for my baby, I had to leave my 30 dollar an hour, 3rd shift job for one 12 dollars an hour less, causing me to be unable to make insurance payments.
Without the car, I lost my job and have since fallen behind on rent and utilities. When Christmas came, I wasn’t able to buy my sons gifts, and arranging rides for groceries or errands—especially with my baby under a year old—has been exhausting and overwhelming.
I am asking for help so I can purchase a used car to replace the one that was lost. Having reliable transportation would mean I could get back to work, support my family, and regain some stability in our lives. Every day has been a struggle, but I am determined to keep moving forward for my sons and to rebuild what we’ve lost.
To anyone that can help, it is greatly appreciated. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Times are tough for everyone right now, I understand, and this is why I am extra grateful for your generosity and kindness. Your support would make a world of difference for us, and I promise to pay it forward when I am able.
