Hi my name is Faith and as many of my friends know, I was in a severe car crash on 08/28/21 which almost took my life. Since then I have been in the process of recovery which has been a long painful road but I am very grateful to be here. While I was in the hospital, many people donated to a gofundme posted by a family member which helped take care of some of my medical expenses and for that I am eternally grateful.

However, I am still no where near being able to go back to work and with over $100,000 in medical bills I am still struggling. I have been wheelchair bound for the last 3 months and have recently began using a walker and taking steps again. The reason I mention this is because it can be quite humiliating getting stared at as a young person in my position with scars all over my legs and people always wondering what happened to me and why I’m in a wheelchair. I haven’t felt normal or like myself in what feels like a very long time. I no longer smile due to a missing front tooth and although it may sound silly, it would be nice to feel just a little bit closer to normal again. To be able to feel comfortable smiling when I’m out with friends or family.

Dental prices are extremely expensive in the US and after speaking to multiple practices, it seems the range of one single implant begins at $4000 and goes upwards of $6000. I don’t expect any handouts and I honestly didn’t even want to create this gofundme, but after being convinced by family i decided to give it a go.

I hope if you take anything from reading this, it’s to be a little bit more kind to strangers who look a little different than what we consider “normal”. Any donations would mean the world to me.
