Help Faith Finish Medical School

Hello, my name is Chinelo Ann Ezeagu, and I am setting up this GoFundMe for my close friend Faith Ufedo Musa. Please read her story below.

Hi, my name is Faith Ufedo Musa, and I am a fifth-year medical student at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. I have always dreamed of becoming a surgeon, and I’ve dedicated myself fully to achieving that goal, despite many obstacles along the way. Now, I am at a point where I desperately need your help to complete my education.

If i am not able to pay at least 25% of the total tuition which is 1625 euros by Oct 4th, 2024, i will not be able to register for classes and i will lose my student status.

I began my medical journey in Ukraine, but due to the war, I was forced to relocate to Serbia to continue my studies, which set me back by two years. Despite these challenges, I have been relentless in pursuing my dream of becoming a surgeon, never allowing my circumstances to stop me.

When I started my education in Serbia, the exchange rate was 900 naira to the euro. While my tuition remained 6,500 euros per year, the naira has since devalued significantly to 1,800 naira per euro. This sharp increase has made the cost of my education nearly unbearable for my family, who earn their income in naira. My parents, both teachers, have sacrificed everything—selling valuables, taking loans, and exhausting their savings—just to help me get this far. Despite taking on part-time jobs to support myself, we've now reached a point where all available resources have been exhausted.

I am now at risk of being forced to drop out of medical school. If that happens, I would be set back in my journey again. After exploring every possible solution and coming up empty, this GoFundMe campaign is my last hope. I am not asking because I feel entitled; I am asking because I am desperate. The only thing standing between me and completing my education is this financial hurdle. Your generosity would not only help me continue my studies, but it would also lift a huge burden off my family, who have given everything they can to support me.

I understand these are tough times for many, and I genuinely appreciate that everyone has their own challenges. If you can contribute, no matter the amount, or even share my story, it would mean the world to me. You would be helping me finish my degree, bringing hope to a family that has sacrificed so much for my future.

All donations will go directly toward covering my tuition fees, which total 13,000 euros for my final two years of medical school (6,500 euros per year). I currently have two years left to complete my studies, and your support would allow me to cross the finish line.

I’m incredibly grateful to share that, thanks to your support, I was able to pay the 25% required to begin classes by the deadline of October 4, 2024! Because of you, I was able to step back into class with a lighter heart and a renewed determination to keep pushing forward.
