Help Faith drive again with E sight glasses
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Faith Grubb. I am 27 with 2 beautiful daughters. I have an eye disease called Stargardts. It is a genetic disease that causes the retina in my eyes to deteriorate and loose sight. I found out about it about 4 years ago when trying to get fitted for glasses. Had to go see a bunch of specialists before my diagnosis. I had never heard of it before then. My vision has went way downhill in the past couple years. I am at 20/200 vision (legally blind), and it could stay the same, or worsen with time. And because I have the mutated gene, both my daughters have a 50% chance of having it also. Because of this disease, I have stopped driving as it is too dangerous. It is really hard to find rides to get my oldest daughter to and from school, and also takes my independence away not being able to drive myself and my kids. There are special glasses called E sight that could make driving, reading and even seeing people's faces possible again. I am not able to work because of this, so finding the money for the glasses seems impossible. I never wanted to ask for handouts, but there does not seem to be any other options. It would just be a dream come true to be able to drive again and to do simple things like help my daughter with her homework. Any amount would be greatly appreciated! Thank you to anyone who is able to help! ❤❤❤
