Hello! My name is Faith Larsen. Last year, I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and wrapped up my college swimming career. I knew I would stay around the pool in some capacity after graduation, but was not sure what that journey would look like. I figured the days of big meets could be behind me. But then a new door opened! Because I only recently completed my college eligibility, I remained eligible to compete in FISU events!

I have been selected to represent the United States at the FISU Americas Games in Lima, Peru this summer! I will get to compete the 50m Free and 50m Fly, along with the possibility of earning spots on relays! The meet will take place from July 24-26. The FISU Americas Games includes college athletes from over twenty countries in North and South America!

I am excited and honored to represent my country in competition this summer, but one last challenge remains before the first horn sounds in Peru: fundraising for the trip. Like many other international competitions, the athletes are responsible for the expenses associated with there competitions. Between event fees, lodging in the village, and travel to Peru, my goal is to raise $3,500 to support me fulfilling my dream of representing Team USA!
