Hello everyone,

For those of you who don’t know me, I am Faith. I am 24 and I have a very handsome 7-month-old baby boy. I found out I was pregnant again with my second boy in October of last year, 2025. It was exciting news but also very scary as the dad and I already had a 5-month-old at the time. His due date was May 29th, 2026. As the time kept getting closer, we grew more excited to meet baby boy and started planning on getting things we needed for him for when we brought him home.

On February 11, I woke up feeling mild contractions and kind of brushed them off as I’d experienced this before with my first and waited for it to stop. As time went on in the day, they continued to grow and get worse. I started to worry at this point. I went on with my day, taking a bath with my son. Moments after getting out of the bath, I noticed some bleeding. After that scare, I immediately went to the hospital. The nurses and doctors did everything they could to stop my contractions as I still had 3 months to go before baby boy was supposed to arrive. Unfortunately, I was already 4 cm dilated and was in active labor. Later that day, around 2 pm, baby Colt arrived. They called the NICU team from Rockford to come and take him into their care due to him being born extremely premature. Unfortunately, due to this, our baby Colt did not make it and passed away on February 12th. It was extremely unexpected and devastating for us and our family.

Our families have been wonderful in helping in any way they can, but unfortunately, we have to go back to reality sooner than we’d like as we have other kids that need us. I am temporarily off work at the moment and not sure if I’ll be able to return or when, and we still have to think about all the medical and funeral expenses that still come even after a loss. In no way is anyone obligated to donate, but if you can, we would appreciate it so much and it would help us be able to grieve without some of the financial burdens as well. If you can’t donate, we completely understand as it is a tough time for everyone. If you could say a prayer for us and baby Colt in heaven and please share this with anyone you know, we will be extremely grateful. Thank you in advance to everyone.
