My name is Liz, this story however; is about my daughter Alyssa, her partner Charlie, and their entire community in beautiful Fairview North Carolina! Due to the recent Hurricane, my daughter along with several neighbors have lost access to their homes, Their private road and subsequent driveways have been completely washed away! (no that’s not a famous NC waterfall) it’s the road for several families! We’re asking for help so they can get their road rebuilt. Since it’s not a public road, there won’t be help out there! This is a young couple who have faced tragedy during this event. They are stuck up on that mountain, with 40 animals (and counting) until this road gets fixed. Their cars are also stuck up there for the foreseeable future! I know this is a big ask, but an engineer has stated that the road could cost up to $100,000 to be repaired! My son in law and family have been doing what they can, but they need materials, and dispel fuel and so much more. This is a beautiful young couple with a serious love for animals, and they just want to get this fixed so they can all start to see the light at the end of the tunnel! These families still have no power, no water, no internet. They’re running on fumes, hiking up and down, traveling by four wheelers to get to work. Borrowing cars even! A house sitters car is even stuck up there! The situation could be worse as in they don’t have homes, but it’s hard, and everyday is taking a harder toll on each of them. They’re working day and night trying to do what they can to not only help others but to help themselves. They’ve seen loss of life, homes, and more! I just want to thank everyone for everything you’re doing to help these families! Every penny will go directly to the reconstruction of their road, and driveways. This will not line the pockets of anyone!!! We’re also accepting donations of material as well, gravel, asphalt whatever you can do!! Thank you from the bottom of hearts!
