Fadi Salman and his family are facing an ongoing struggle to survive after their home in Gaza was completely demolished. Fadi is a father of four children: Salman, Alma, Hussein, and baby Rayan. He is also trying to care for his elderly parents, including his 74-year-old father, Salman, and his mother. After being forced to flee, the family has been left without the safety of a home and is now living in unsafe conditions where even the most basic daily needs have become difficult to meet. Fadi does everything he can to provide food and essentials, but because of a disability in his hand, working and supporting his family has become even harder.
Support for this fundraiser will help Fadi provide immediate protection and basic dignity for his family. The funds will go toward a 6m x 4m tent, wood, blankets, and building a bathroom to protect the children from winter, rain, and the loss of privacy. Help will also provide a tent and bathroom for Fadi’s elderly parents, along with daily food and other basic essentials for the family. Because these needs continue day after day, ongoing support can help Fadi keep food on the table and maintain safe shelter for his children and parents as conditions continue. Recurring donations would give the family more predictable help with these continuing needs, and one-time gifts would also make a real difference. If donating is not possible, sharing Fadi’s story with others would mean so much. Any kindness can help protect his children, support his parents, and bring a little more safety, relief, and hope to the family.
