On the evening of December 28th 2021 Fabrizio and Regina were involved in a serious car accident while driving on a southwest California freeway. Rear-ended in a high impact crash that totaled their car, both were airlifted to the nearby hospital in Lancaster.

Fortunately, their injuries turned out to be non-life threatening. Both did suffer broken bones, lacerations and muscle issues, all of which will require time and rehabilitation to heal. They will return to Houston on Friday January 7th to begin this process.

Fabrizio, originally from Italy and Regina, from Ukraine, are both successful tennis teaching professionals in Houston. Fabrizio has coached at the Houston Country Club since 2015. Regina also once worked at HCC and now serves clients on courts throughout the city.

The Houston tennis community has benefitted greatly from their presence, passion for the game and eagerness to share their expertise with all. As a result of this unfortunate accident, we will be without their services for the foreseeable future. Both will be back as strong as ever once their injuries heal. We anxiously await their return.
