Dear friends,

I find myself in an unexpected and challenging situation once more. Over a year ago, I triumphed over pancreatic cancer, but now it's resurfaced in a different form. Thick scar tissue or adhesion bands have blocked my intestines, interrupting what was meant to be a dream trip to Thailand to celebrate my victory.

In the midst of my adventure, I was struck with vomiting and excruciating pain. I sought help at a tiny clinic in the jungle, leading to a whirlwind journey through four different hospitals. Finally, at the current hospital, they've diagnosed my condition. I have a tube from my nose to my stomach, an IV, and no way to eat or drink for over three days. The hospitals here require upfront payment before providing care, but once that's sorted, they offer excellent treatment.

I don't have a definite timeline for the surgery, and it's possible I'll need to stay here for a little while. I find solace in your attention and support through the internet, which truly warms my heart. Life is filled with unexpected experiences, and I'm ready to face this one head-on.

If any of you can lend a hand to help cover the medical expenses. I'll do my best to keep you updated on my situation and promise to express my gratitude through love, care, and perhaps a big celebration party when I return to the USA – where we can all dance and hug once more.
