Ezy (Our mom) is sweet, kind, hardworking, and fiercely determined — an irreplaceable mother who has done so much for our family and for others throughout her life. Even through unimaginable pain, she continues to show up with unmeasurable amount of power and warmth, managing to keep a smile on her face despite how much this fight has taken from her inside. This is her story — one of love, resilience, and a woman who deserves every chance to keep living the life she has fought so hard for.
Our mom has been courageously battling cancer for the past 16 years. She was diagnosed in 2010 at just 40 years old. Now at 56 years old, she has fought with strength, grace, and resilience through more than most people face in a lifetime. Taking away from her 40s and now most of her 50s this disease has made life for her and our family incredibly difficult,

What began as breast cancer later spread to her bones, lungs, and brain. The past three years have been especially heartbreaking as the cancer has become more aggressive, taking a severe toll on her health and quality of life.

In 2023, our mom traveled to Spain for treatment after learning about their advanced healthcare system and immune-focused therapies that treat cancer at its core. This was the only treatment that truly worked for her. In just 10 days, the results were undeniable — her lung tumors went from 50 down to only 3. For the first time in years, we felt real hope.

Sadly, since returning home, the cancer has progressed again. In 2025, her condition worsened significantly. She now suffers from fluid buildup under her lungs — a common complication for breast cancer patients — which compresses her lungs and makes it difficult for her to breathe. She requires frequent hospital visits to have the fluid drained so she can breathe.

She currently has tumors in her brain, lungs, spine, clavicle, and shoulder. Watching someone so young endure this level of pain is devastating. Our mom still has so much life left to live, so many memories to make, and so many milestones we want her here for. We were heartbroken to be told there are no additional treatments doctors can offer at this time.

We would do anything to send her back to Spain, knowing without a doubt that this treatment helped her when nothing else did. The cost is approximately $3,000–$4,000 per day, totaling $21,000–$28,000 for just one week, which is far beyond what our family can manage alone. My dad works 60–80 hours a week just to keep up with bills and past medical expenses, but it’s simply not enough.

We are asking for help — not because we want to, but because we need to. Even being able to send her for another 10 days of treatment could bring her some relief, strength, and renewed hope.

Any donation, no matter the amount, helps more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, share it, and support our mom during the hardest fight of her life.

With all our love and gratitude,
Alfredo (Husband), Alexia (Daughter), and Aaron (Son)
