Help Ezra through his amputation

*update: ezra is now a bilateral amputee. He has lost both legs above the knee. He had begun his own landscaping company after his first amputation and was doing so well in physical therapy and continuing on in life—this will be a major setback. Let’s rally back around him and help.

Ezra went to the ER 2 weeks ago explaining to them that he thought he had a blood clot. They diagnosed him with cellulitis and said he had no clots. After the meds they prescribed he did not improve. He went to the doctor twice over the next week and they set him up for a radiology appointment to recheck for clots. 

He had clotting from his groin to his foot—and underwent a surgery to place a stent to try to solve the problem. It did not. 

Sadly, he will now be having an above the knee amputation. 

He was laid off about 2 months ago due to covid and was supposed to be back at that job in the next month or so. He is the hardest worker—and does manual labor as well as landscaping. 

obviously life will be so different. Without insurance due to being laid off, the cost of the medicalsupplies and accommodations he will need in hishome on top of rent and normal life is going to be a challenge. 

He does so much for others, I’m hoping we can rally around him and let him feel supported and loved.
