Hi Everyone, We’ve created this page to help cover the cost of Ezra’s amputation surgery and potential radiation afterwards. Ezra was recently diagnosed with carcinoma cancer located in a mass on her back leg and in her lymph nodes of the same leg. We still have a couple more scans to go to make sure that it hasn’t spread but the blood work is completely squeaky clean so it’s very unlikely that it’s anywhere else.
Everyone that knows me knows that I’ve had Ezra since she was a baby. Her whole life she’s fought to stay healthy and she’s beat all odds by making it this far without any significant diagnoses. She’s always been a happy smart and perfect angel and she always overcomes everything with a giant dopey grin. My girl is my life and she has gotten me through some of the worst things that I’ve ever had to go through. I want to do everything in my power to make sure that she continues to lead a happy and healthy life.
Our Veterinary Hospital have surmised that her best case scenario is to have her leg amputated to make sure the cancer does not spread further. This is also the easiest path to recovery for her as chemo and meds could be too rough on her and may allow the mass to return after attempting removal or the removal could cause an infection that would lead to amputation anyway.
Anything that you can contribute will help us get that much closer to getting her the surgery that she needs to kick cancers butt. She deserves to keep zooming around in the snow, swimming in the River, cuddling with her parents and her kitty and playing with all her friends.
