I never thought I would make a post like this, because asking for help is really hard for me.

We recently found out that although Ezra’s scans are clear, his bone marrow still still shows neuroblastoma cells. Because of that, he is no longer eligible for the vaccine trial right now, and we will be starting a new round of treatment on June 1 with immunotherapy and chemotherapy.

Before treatment starts again, we have a very small window where Ezra finally gets to have his central line removed and switched to a port. Through all of this, one of the biggest things he has talked about has been wanting to go on a trip “when he’s done.” Originally we hoped for Mexico, then Puerto Rico, but with him being fresh post-op we need to stay closer to home.

So now, our new plan is Orlando.

Ezra has been wanting to go to Epic Universe so badly, and I would love to give him a few happy days where he just gets to be a little boy with his brother before we jump back into hospital life and being so sick again. We’re hoping to do a short trip May 27–29 with maybe Epic Universe, a fun water park, and Disney if possible.

Mostly, I just want Ezra to have memories that aren’t tied to cancer.
