In these uncertain and crazy times, the need for resilient, ultra local food production is more important than ever. Help me expand my urban farm to install a Victory Garden Farm and grow food for the community.
I practice regenerative, beyond organic methods, and have been growing in my small space mostly for restaurants for the past few years. The restaurants are now closed, and the farm's income is greatly suffering. However, the farmer's market is thriving in these uncertain times as people need access to safe and healthy food.
Where my urban farm is located is less than 900 feet away from the local Farmer's Market! That is ridiculously ultra local!
There is an area just outside my current farm that is full of weeds and grasses. I need help raising the money for irrigation, compost, organic fertilizers and equipment rental to get this Victory Farm going before summer is upon us.
The produce will be sold at the Diablo Valley Walnut Creek Farmers Market in Shadelands Office Park (Saturday 9 until 1) and available for direct pickup at the farm.
Any amount you can contribute will greatly appreciated in this time of need. Let us use this crisis to reconnect with our food, our communities, and nature. Please support the expansion of the farm and help created a Victory Garden Farm!
Thank you so much!
