The La Canada engineering club is a vibrant community hub for kids and youth ages 10-17, where future engineers and innovators come together to learn, build, and grow. Through the First Lego League (FLL), the club mentors and guides different teams as they design, build, and program robots. These amazing kids are not only learning about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), but also developing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills that will serve them for life.
Right now, the club’s lab is bursting at the seams. The space is crowded with materials and equipment, making it difficult to safely accommodate all the teams who want to participate. Many eager kids are on the waitlist, hoping for a chance to join in the fun and learning. The club needs a solution to make the lab safer and more accessible for everyone. Funds raised will be used for storage only, and the placement of the storage container is subject to district approval.
That’s why we’re raising funds for a shipping container to use as extra storage. With this new space, the club can stow away materials that aren’t always needed, reduce hazards in the lab, and make room for more teams to join. The goal is safety and access, not expansion without oversight. Your support will help create a safer, more organized environment where even more kids can experience the excitement of robotics and STEAM learning. Please consider donating to help us open the doors to more young innovators!
