Ashley has dedicated her life to Braille literacy, drawing from her own experience as someone who was born visually impaired and relied on Braille throughout her education. Now a certified Braille transcriber, Ashley is passionate about giving back to the blind community by providing Braille transcription and tutoring services to those who need them most. Her business, VIP Braille Services, serves both children and adults, offering lessons virtually and in person, and she has worked with school districts and businesses such as an elevator company in New York. Currently, Ashley faces significant challenges without access to a personal Braille embosser. She must manually type out Braille materials on a Perkins Braille writer, which is time-consuming and limits her ability to produce high-quality materials quickly. This process creates delays for her students and clients, and makes it difficult to meet the needs of businesses and organizations that require professional Braille documents. With a Braille Buddy Embosser, Ashley would be able to create high-quality Braille materials, including graphics, much more efficiently. This would allow her to reduce wait times for tutoring lessons, serve more clients, and expand her reach across the country.
