Help EWR Replace their Car, Equipment, & Inventory
My name is Zachary, and I run the record label Exalted Woe. We specialize in heavy metal, and have been operating for almost 7 years. I am also an avid musician, and play drums in several bands.
On the morning of Monday, January 27th, my car burst into flames and exploded. Fortunately, I was unharmed. Unfortunately, I had just played a show, and I had my drum kit, stage gear, and most of my record label inventory in the back. I lost everything.
This car was completely paid off (12k), and our insurance doesn't cover spontaneous combustion. We're trying to figure out what caused the fire and if we can receive some sort of compensation, but we simply don't know anything yet. I desperately need a vehicle to get to work, tour, etc. We had just spent 2k getting it repaired, and we're terrified that it's mostly a loss.
Without my inventory, it will be incredibly difficult to fund Stygian Rites, an annual festival we put on every summer. I lost pretty much all of our t-shirts, all of our patches, and a large number of CDs, cassettes, flags, posters, koozies, etc. I don't know the exact number because I didn't do inventory after the show, but it was easily a couple thousand dollars worth of items. The small items are replaceable, but most of the other merch we sell is printed in limited runs and cannot be replaced.
It sucks extra, because, as you might have assumed, I use the profits from selling merch to buy more, and I am currently unable to afford our next two vinyl releases later this year.
Please help me recoup some of my losses, get my kit back, and save our festival and label. Thank you.
