Hi everyone, if you’ve clicked on this, I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read about my situation. Putting my pride aside, I see no other option but to ask for help. I’ve fallen on pretty hard times and have exhausted all efforts to handle this myself but I can’t do it alone and need help. While I have many exciting things happening over the next few months that will put me on the path to financial success and security, that doesn’t pay the bills NOW and the “now” could affect my future in a way that means quitting drag and moving back home which I want to avoid at all costs.
Here’s what happened:
After signing a multi-gig contract, I was supposed to have received a deposit check for these gigs by March 5th. It is now March 29th and the bills have piled up to a point where I cannot hope catch up on my own.
Due to communication on their end, I didn’t receive that check until yesterday. When depositing it, I was told it would clear today however there is a financial hold for a week on it from my bank because of the amount of the check. I’ve tried to get my bank to clear it faster but they are unable to. Because I was waiting for this check, my car was repossessed and is schedule to be sent to the auction yard on Tuesday, and key utilities will be at risk of being shut off.
While I now understand that waiting for one independent source of income to pay bills is irresponsible, I don’t want this life lesson to affect everything I’ve worked so hard for. Without my car, my ability to get to and from gigs, especially those outside of Baltimore has been hindered. In order to get back on track, it’s going to take around $2,500. Even if you cannot donate to this cause, a SHARE on social media would mean the world! If I have touched your life in any way and you’re able to donate, it would be much appreciated!
