Support Evita’s Recovery After a Traumatic Head Injury

Hi everyone,

I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Evita Medina, who recently experienced a devastating accident while doing her nursing clinicals in Virginia.

While in Virginia, my sister slipped and fell down a flight of stairs, resulting in fractures on both the left and right sides of her skull as well as internal bleeding in her head. She was immediately transported to the nearest hospital equipped to handle her injury, where she was closely monitored by medical professionals.

Due to the severity of the head trauma, my sister was placed on a medical travel restriction for two weeks, which required her to stay in a hotel in Virginia while doctors monitored her condition and assessed the full extent of the damage. She continues to need time, rest, and ongoing care to safely recover.

This GoFundMe is to help support my sister’s medical recovery and temporary loss of income as she continues to heal from her injuries. These unexpected medical challenges have placed a significant emotional and financial burden on her, and we’re doing everything we can as a family to ensure she has the resources she needs to rest, recover, and regain her strength.

My sister is one of the most dedicated, passionate people I know she’s worked so hard to get to where she is, and we just want to make sure she can heal safely, surrounded by care and love.
