Help Evie Whipps Family
Donation protected
Our beautiful Evie died on the 22nd of January 2024.
She fought until her very last breath and refused to give into DIPG.
But what DIPG did to her was torture. She became locked inside her failing body to the point where she desperately begged for help. She could no longer see, speak, hear, walk, sit up or toilet.
The trauma our family went through is inexplicable and we have no idea how to even start to process it all.
Josh, Sunny, Elsie and I (Pia) are spending alot of time together alone as a family to catch our breath.
Now the focus is on grieving and getting help to work through the 11 months that we spent desperately trying to help Evie. We have no idea what this looks like but we do know that our family need a lot of support in order to give us the space to do this.
I have been planning and discussing how to honour Evie in future by creating a Foundation to help other DIPG children and their families, so we will keep you all updated on those developments.
For now if you are able to donate or even share this go fund me on our familys behalf we would all be beyond appreciative.
Families of kids who have been through this fight know the financial hangover after their child passes can be devastating.
Loans, mortgage, credit cards are now left in arrears and fears of how to survive have created an unimaginable stress at a time when our family should be free to grieve and process the loss of our daughters life to the most horrific child brain cancer.
We are planning a memorial for Evie but we are taking our time to organise it properly. We will find a way to include all of the amazing souls from all over the world that supported her, loved her and feel our pain at her loss. We will update you all on those plans when we work it out.
Evie will be remembered for lifetimes to come and we will never stop honouring her beautiful life.
Thank you to all of you for all your support x
