Help Evette Get A Home!

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Evette and I am fundraising for a sustainable life.
Quick summary:
I need to raise the total by August 5 to buy a pre-owned mobile home to live in full-time. Having the full amount raised will greatly reduce my monthly expenses and allow me to live on my limited income as a single person with a chronic illness.

UPDATE: Thank you! I only need about 3,000 more! I am so thankful for those who have already given! The donations I've gotten so far are a HUGE help and a big encouragement. I sold my van and that was a nice push towards the goal. Now, all I need it 3,000 to finally have the total amount! Thank you, again, for helping me make this important step.

Everyone's favorite part! The walk-through!!

For people who are nosey like me and MUST see the bathroom there is a toilet and a shower. I forgot to take a pic of the little sink and mirror but it is all very cute.:

My story
I have always dreamt of living in a mobile home and seeing the country because I love the diversity of cultures and landscapes, but I always thought of it as just a nice dream and didn't give it more thought. As I've gotten older my dream has taken on a new meaning.

I have endometriosis which is a chronic illness that causes chronic fatigue and daily pain among many other issues. Finding a treatment that helps my body is difficult, and supporting myself as a single chronically ill person feels even more impossible.

As I pondered how to create a future that I can sustain I remembered my dream! Living in a mobile home would significantly lower my living costs and allow me to have a home that frees me instead of binds me.

I work from home because my fatigue, pain, and digestion issues are better managed at home. The downside is that my world has become the size of this one location. With a mobile home, I can take my work and life everywhere! I can visit my family out of state and see the world I have always longed to embrace. I would have the benefit of being able to be close to others when I need extra help without being too much of a burden on them, but also travel when I feel up to it. All while managing my symptoms! Yay!!

The Plan
More importantly, with your help, I could pay for the mobile home in a lump sum and not have a large monthly loan payment. This would help me immensely since I work for an hourly wage and my illness makes me miss days due to pain and doctor's appointments (spoonies will relate) which limits my income. While I hope to find a treatment that makes my symptoms more manageable, endometriosis is not a curable disease; it will always be a part of my life.

So, to make sure this life is a really good one, endometriosis and all, I am planning to live well within my means by living full-time in a mobile home. I have found the perfect pre-owned mobile home for $15,000. It is a 1999 Dutchmen 31S in great condition. It has everything a single gal could want! A little bathroom, a bedroom, and an oven (I love to bake so that was on my wish list). The owner has had it in his family for years and has kept it clean and in good working order. My neighbor who has had many RV's over decades looked it over and said it's a great purchase.

I already have 5,000 set aside for this purchase, and I have a buyer for my old minivan which is another chunk of cash, but I need some help raising the remaining $8,000. The owner and I originally agreed to complete the purchase on July 24, but I just couldn’t get the entire 15,000. He was kind enough to grant me two more weeks to gather the rest of the money which means that I have until August 5 to raise the full amount.

I told myself to do everything I can to be faithful to this dream so I am writing this in hopes that others will help me achieve the impossible. Would you be a part of my dream team that makes my sustainable future possible?

Just for fun!:
Will you name your mobile home?
Yes! I picked the name DayOne as in "been there for me since DAY ONE"! It has a symbolic meaning because it is a reminder to myself of God's great care for me since my literal day one on the earth. Plus, it's a call back to the creation account in Genesis the first book of the Bible where it lists what God created each day. Genesis 1:3-5 "And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day." I like to think of this mobile home as God creating something brand new in my life. It is a new day of light and opportunity.

My #1 bucket-list destination in my mobile home is:
THE GENERAL!!!!!! One of the largest trees in the world! I will literally cry when I see this in person!

Note: Please don’t ask about my treatment plans. A life altering health condition is a very private matter (even though I am blowing my own spot up here). In addition, the effectiveness of any treatment varies per person. What works wonders for one person may do more damage for another. It is up to each person and their doctors to decide what alleviates their symptoms the best. Please respect my right to work out the details of my healthcare journey in private. Thanks!!
