The Black Boy Joy Summit was born from a childhood wound. In fifth grade, I was exiled from my classroom—discarded, unseen, and dehumanized by a teacher who couldn’t recognize my brilliance. That pain became purpose. That exile became a blueprint. This Summit is the space I needed then—one where every Black and Brown boy is affirmed, celebrated, and reminded that he is more than society’s limits.
Our 2025 theme—BIGGER—is inspired by Beyoncé’s powerful anthem: “If you feel insignificant, you better think again... you’re part of something way bigger.”
This is more than a gathering. It’s a movement that says to our boys:
✨ Your joy is sacred.
✨ Your story is still unfolding.
✨ You are part of something way bigger—ancestrally, spiritually, and systemically.
We believe Black and Brown boys deserve more than survival—they deserve to thrive. Through powerful workshops, healing spaces, intergenerational mentorship, and cultural celebration, the Summit helps our youth rewrite the narrative. Because when our boys know their worth, they lead boldly, dream freely, and love deeply.
Help us build something bigger than a day—help us build a legacy.
