Hi everyone! I am fundraising for my daughter Everleigh to go to a special kind of advanced physical therapy called DMI at a well known clinic called All Kids Are Perfect in Cary, NC this winter and next spring.

The cost of this therapy for each week is $2,800 and an additional $1,000 for lodging each week. We would love for Everleigh to be able to do one week this winter and one week in the spring!

At AKAP, she will receive two therapy sessions daily with their trained staff, spotters, advanced equipment and extensive experience with DMI techniques.

Everleigh has a rare genetic disorder called Aicardi syndrome which causes Epilepsy/LGS, Infantile Spasms, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, CVI, global developmental delays, hypotonia, central apnea, etc. She is gtube and oxygen dependent. Due to her hypotonia (low muscle tone), seizure meds, and spending much of her life in the hospital, she has very little trunk/head control. This would be our main goal for DMI therapy is to jumpstart her trunk/head control so that she can also do more in her weekly PT sessions here in Marion with the wonderful staff at Village Wellness. Her whole team of support are on board and believe that she would greatly benefit from this specialized therapy.
