Help Everlee Get the Surgery She Needs for Her Broken Arm

Hi everyone,

This is for our brave little girl, Everlee — who just turned 5 and somehow managed to break both bones in her forearm doing what she loves most: gymnastics.

She’s a vibrant, pink-obsessed, Elsa-loving girl who absolutely adores animals and doesn’t go anywhere without doting on our golden retriever. Despite how intense the break was, Everlee hasn’t complained once — not at the ER, not through her cast fittings, and not even after finding out she needs surgery. On the drive to the hospital, she just calmly watched her show, unfazed, as if nothing had happened. The ER doctors couldn’t stop praising how tough she is.

Her first ortho visit on May 12 gave us hope — we were told she didn’t need surgery. She even got the pink cast she had been dreaming about (she was so disappointed when the ER gave her a temporary ace-wrapped one). But by May 19, things changed. X-rays showed that her bones had shifted, and the doctor strongly recommended surgery. We scheduled it right away for May 22 — and then, a few days later, learned our insurance wouldn’t cover it.

We were told we’d need to pay $10,000 upfront, just for the surgery. On top of that, there are ER bills and imaging costs we haven’t even received yet. We had to delay her surgery by a week, now scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, just to try and come up with the money.

We’ve never done anything like this before. We’ve been slowly climbing out of debt after working hard to build a small startup. Things were finally turning around — we were even planning a simple camping trip with Everlee’s grandparents this summer. Now all of that is uncertain.

So we’re asking for help.

We’re doing everything we can to get Everlee the care she needs, but this sudden expense is more than we can carry alone. If you feel moved to help us shoulder the cost of her surgery, we would be deeply, humbly grateful. Even $5 makes a difference.

And if by some miracle we raise more than we need, we will donate the remainder to Primary Children’s Hospital in Utah — they’ve already been so supportive, and they help families like ours every day.
