Help Everett and the Baker Family Beat Leukemia

Donation protected
On March 30th, 2022, the Baker Family received the heartbreaking news that their seven-year-old son Everett has Leukemia. This adversity is not without hope, as Everett’s diagnosis is highly treatable and his prognosis favorable; however, the journey to remission will be a long hard road for Everett and His Family. Everett is the firstborn of Amy and Brad Baker and has a little brother, Bennett, who will be turning 2 in May. Those of you who know Everett would agree that his light shines bright; he is sweet and incredibly brilliant, teaching himself to read and write at just three years old. All of us share in the joy and laughter that Everett brings with his cute/funny texts, amazing memory, and analytical antics.

As many of you know, Everett’s Parents, Amy and Brad, have dedicated their lives to Everett and Bennett, as well as their service in their community in law enforcement. Brad currently serves as a Detective for Tampa Police Department and Amy as Legal Counsel for Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. They have strong family values and a passion for making a difference in their community.

The Baker family has been told to anticipate that this journey to Everett’s full remission and healthy recovery will take nearly two (2) years with the first six (6) to eight (8) months focused on aggressive chemotherapy, during which they will not be able to juggle work and Everett’s crucial treatment and care. Therefore, the purpose of this fundraising endeavor is to assist in alleviating the financial stressors of the high medical bills and loss of income that Amy and Brad will face during this critical period. Mother Teresa once said, “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” This quote embodies our plea for support both financially and spiritually for Everett and his Family. If we all contribute drops, we will produce an ocean of love and support for Everett’s fight and full recovery.

If you are unable to contribute financially, simply sharing this page and information with others on your social media accounts and profiles to spread the word and assist this Family in their time of need would be extremely appreciated. Although this news and the struggle Everett and his Family are facing seems like an insurmountable mountain to climb, family and friends that know and love Everett and the Baker family have faith that this adversity will be overcome and will only strengthen their faith, love, and family. “Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are.” ― Arthur Golden.
