Everest showed up on our doorstep about a month ago, severely emaciated, malnourished, and sick. We took her in and got her the medical care she desperately needed. The vet said it looked like she’d been on the streets for months, but it was later confirmed she had only been gone for a few days. Regardless, she was in rough shape and needed urgent help.
We’ve taken care of Everest, gotten her all vaccinations, and per vet recommendation, full bloodwork , radiology, and grooming. She’s already gained a significant amount of weight and is starting to enjoy life again! Everest is a beautiful white German shepherd mix who loves playing fetch (and will let you know if you’re not quick enough with the ball!), going for walks, and eating good food. She’s a good girl who deserves the best life has to offer, and we’re committed to getting her to full health and helping her find her forever home.
We are devastated still about the loss of our lab, Shadeaux, to cancer in December, and are still working on paying his extensive medical expenses. With three pets of our own and Everest’s ongoing needs, it’s been a challenge. Any help is appreciated in supporting us rehabilitating this beautiful and deserving girl in her medical journey towards full health and on to finding her perfect new forever home!
