Help Evelyn Wade replace her stolen truck
Donation protected
Many of you know Evelyn Wade in various capacities. She is a grandmother, a community elder and was also a Substance Abuse Counselor for many years. She has helped a great many people in her time while working in the Native American community. She has shown love, caring and compassion for practically every client / family she has worked with. You may have crossed her path at The Friendship House Association of American Indians in San Francisco or in Berkeley at Walden School or maybe even at Intertribal Friendship House in Oakland for their senior citizens gatherings.
Unfortunately, on August 15, Evelyn had her only truck stolen while it was parked in front of her home. She had a 2005 GMC Yukon and she has kept it in excellent condition. She loved this truck so much that she named it "Babe".
In a sad twist however, Evelyn recently received a call informing her that her truck had been located however it was totaled. The engine was damaged, the catalytic converters and battery were gone and the gas line was cut. These are just a few items of the vast list of damages caused during the theft.
We are putting out a community request for funds to help ease the financial burden on Evelyn when it comes to replacing her vehicle. What makes this situation even worst is that she only carried liability insurance. She will not be receiving any compensation for her loss and she was even responsible for the charges incurred in the recovery of her salvaged vehicle.
This event brought her life to a halt. "Babe" was her only means of transportation. We hope you can find it in your hearts to contribute financially to Evelyn's recovery. All donation will be appreciated as we thank you in advance for your help and your prayers.
Thank you all, so much for reading.
