Hi, my name is Evelyn Jasmine Buffin, and I’m reaching out with hope and strength as I navigate a long, painful, and deeply personal health journey.

In 2023, I underwent a hysterectomy, and not long after, I suffered a bowel obstruction that led to additional complications. I then had a vaginal cuff repair, followed by three colonoscopies to monitor my ongoing digestive issues. I’ve been diagnosed with diverticulitis, a hiatal hernia, esophagitis, and gastritis, all of which have caused severe pain and made day-to-day life incredibly difficult.

Now, in 2025, I am scheduled to have my gallbladder removed tomorrow — doctors recently discovered that it is only functioning at 5%, which has been contributing to my constant, severe pain and digestive complications.

I’ve been out of work all of last year and now into this year due to my health challenges. As a proud mother of four, I’ve done everything in my power to keep pushing forward. Even through all the health struggles, I managed to complete my Associate’s degree last year and went on to earn and my Bachelor’s degree this year 2025. I continue to strive for greatness and a brighter future for myself and my family.
