Help Evel Stay: Support Her Education Journey
Donation protected
Hello there,
We are a group of international students from the University of Copenhagen, making a heartfelt appeal for your help in turning our friend Evel's educational aspirations into a reality
Here's the situation: Our friend Evel, from Honduras, arrived in Copenhagen this year with the common dream of any student going abroad—to evolve, grow, and study what she's passionate about. Her journey to Denmark is more than a pursuit of a Master's in Migration; it's a resounding testament to her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Unfortunately, complications arose. Evel's family in Honduras faced a crisis, leaving them unable to continue financing her education.
What does this sudden change mean for Evel? It means the entire burden now rests on her shoulders. It means that as a student and part-time worker, she has to raise 112,500 Danish Krones (around 15,000 Euros) to cover the expenses of three upcoming semesters. Yes, she's putting in tremendous effort, but let's be honest—she can't do it all alone.
As her friends, we are aware of Evel's daily struggle. We witness her worry and anxiety about making it through one more month. Knowing that she only eats once a day and is barely making ends meet deepens our concern. Furthemore, semester fees are approaching, and if she can't cover them, the immigration office will force her to return to Honduras.
We refuse to let her alone. Evel has worked tirelessly for this opportunity, and we want to ensure she has an equal chance to develop herself. We believe that with a bit of help from everyone, this situation can be resolved.
Evel is a passionate woman who doesn't give up; let's demonstrate to her that we, too, don't give up on her.
Your contribution, no matter the size, is genuinely appreciated. If donating is not possible, you can still make a significant impact by sharing Evel's story.
A big big thank you.
Update: Unfortunately Evel couldn’t reach the goal to pay her next semester on January 15, so we regret to inform that she was not able to be enrolled by the University for 2024 spring semester and now she’s going back to her country. Thank you so much to all the people who helped and donated to her cause, it means a lot to Evel and she is forever grateful for all the kindness and solidarity that people showed to her through this campaign!
Thousand thanks!
