HELP EVARISTE COMPLETE UNIVERSITY IN AFRICA

Hi! We are students willing to help children who are less privileged, acquire knowledge.

We are assisting Education without Borders (EwB) to raise

funds for one of their after-school alumni, Evariste

Nyembwe.

Evariste graduated Grade 12 in 2023 as its top student and

has been accepted to study Computer Science at the

University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.

As a refugee, his tuition fees are covered.

Evariste urgently needs financial assistance to address

his immediate essential needs, including food, clothing,

and transportation. He is unable to financially support

himself. 

A Message from Evariste:

Currently I am facing some financial difficulties with traveling and academic resources. I am residing with my mom and three younger siblings. My father left for the Republic of Congo at the beginning of 2024 to seek financial aid for my studies. Presently, there has

been no success in this regard as things are also not that great back home. My mom is currently unemployed and makes some money selling perishable goods to make ends meet. With my father being in Congo my mother has been left with the financial burden-making an already stressful situation even more stressful. We are

also not receiving any form of financial government assistance for me or any of my siblings. I am very appreciative for the sacrifices my parents have made and are making to ensure that I make the best out of this opportunity.

Currently I have no laptop nor the funds to purchase one to do any of my academic work on. I am still residing at home as I did not have the funds to move closer to campus therefore I need to travel daily for my classes. I am keeping a positive mindset despite the challenges knowing my parents are doing their best to provide what they can.

Education without Borders (EwB) provides educational

opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk children through

initiatives in South Africa and Canada, including after-school

support programs in Math, English, Science, school

leadership and youth mentorship.
