Hi, brothers Evan and Joshua Dewar have had the fantastic news that they have been selected to represent Great Britain in the European TeamGym Championships which will take place in Finland in October 2026.

Evan and Joshua are High Performance gymnasts with Jump Gymnastics Club. They are 2 of only 4 Scottish Gymnasts out of a total of 76 selected to represent Team GB in Espoo, Finland 14th – 17th October 2026 at the 16th European TeamGym Championships. Evan will compete in the Senior Men’s category and Joshua in the Junior Men's category.

Unfortunately, TeamGym is not fully funded by British Gymnastics and so the cost of this opportunity is very high with it entirely self funded. It is anticipated that to cover the cost of sending Evan & Joshua to Finland, their official Team GB kit, pay for their accommodation and meals during the competition is approximately £1300 each. In addition there will also the cost of travelling and overnight accommodation to attend the 8 TeamGB training weekend camps down in Crewe, Bristol, Bracknell and London over the next few months, this expenditure will be approximately £2600 each. Making a total cost for both the boys to represent Team GB at the Euros at nearly £8000.

It is a great honour for the boys to be taking part in such an important event for their country at the highest possible level for their sport and they are therefore attempting to raise as much money as possible to help them reach this huge target.

The intense training and financial commitment will be difficult for them both and their family but they are all determined and looking forward to help the brothers travel to Finland.
