Evan Rogers, one of the most generous, caring, upbeat guys, always available to lend a hand for a neighbor, stranger, or friend, although they were part of the campfire area in paradise/ magalia Evan chose not put a claim in to the PGE settlement in fear it would take away from someone that truly needed those funds and donated his motorhome to a man experiencing homelessness after the campfire. He recently underwent surgery to remove colon cancer, meanwhile working during his chemo and radiation treatments, showing little to no signs of defeat. He has a beautiful wife, Michaela, and a bright 13-year-old son, Levi, that they love and depend on Him to provide. Evan is the type of guy that shows up early and works late with no complaints. His wife, Michaela, has severe seizures and can’t drive.
Yesterday, Evan went in for a check-up and is now diagnosed with terminal cancer in his liver, kidneys, etc. The doctors believe that Evan will have approximately 6-12 months to enjoy his last moments with his family. He’s too proud to ask, but we are not. Let’s give Evan, Levi, Michaela a kick-ass summer together and last moments without stressing about the power bill. Please support this gift and if you can’t give, we know all things are possible with God and your prayers are appreciated.
Update Evan and his family went to Hawaii before his next round of chemo and radiation treatments. Because of generous donors like you they had a great time snorkeling in the ocean exploring on a private beach and hiking the mountains in the rural areas taking in the true beauty Hawaii has to offer. Evan said he almost forgot he was sick. Now that they are home Evan has had severe pains in his abdomen and doctors have discovered tumors that have severally progressed in size. He will be going back and forth to UC Davis almost 2 hour trip one direction and needed reliable transportation and had to purchase a good used inexpensive car that has Airconditioning in this heat wave we are having. This was also because of generous donors. Thank you for the ongoing support to help Evan and his family through this difficult time.
