Hi, everyone! My name is Evan Cloud, I am 22 years old, I am from the North Texas area, and I’m incredibly excited to share a huge milestone in my journey with sport stacking. I’ve officially qualified to represent the United States and compete at the World Sport Stacking Championships in Reiden, Switzerland in April 2025, and with your help, I can represent our community on the world stage!

What is Sport Stacking?

Sport stacking is a unique, fast-paced sport where competitors stack and unstack specially designed cups in predetermined sequences at lightning speed. It’s all about precision, speed, and focus.

Why Sport Stacking?

Sport stacking isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s my passion. What started as a fun challenge has turned into a way of life. For over 10 years, I’ve spent countless hours training, practicing new techniques, and pushing myself to be faster, more precise, and more consistent. I’ve poured my heart into this sport because I love the thrill of competition and the mental and physical focus it demands.

In 2021, I placed 2nd out of over 600 stackers at the World Championships, a moment that pushed me to continue refining my skills. Through hard work and determination, I’ve become the fastest competitive stacker in Texas and am proud to say I’m ranked amongst the top 10 competitors in the U.S. But I’m not stopping there—I’m constantly improving and aiming to be one of the best in the world. This opportunity to compete in Switzerland is my chance to prove that all the hours of effort, sacrifice, and dedication have been worth it.

The Road to the World Championships

Competing at an international level is a dream come true, but it comes with significant financial costs. This is where I need your help. Between travel expenses, entry fees, accommodation, and equipment, the costs add up quickly. While I’ve saved as much as I can, I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community for support to help me get there.

If I am unable to make the trip for any reason, all donations will go to Texas Hands and Voices, an organization dedicated to supporting families with deaf or hard-of-hearing children.

My Journey

Sport stacking has been a part of my life for over a decade, shaping who I am today. I started stacking when I was just a kid, fascinated by the speed and skill required. What began as a fun challenge turned into a serious commitment as I began competing in local tournaments. Every tournament fueled my desire to improve. Over time, I worked my way up to regional, state, and national competitions.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned the value of perseverance. I’ve faced setbacks and tough competition but always found a way to push forward. Hours upon hours of practice went into improving my technique—boosting my hand-eye coordination, timing, and muscle memory. It’s not just about being fast but about being precise and staying mentally sharp under pressure.

In 2021, placing 2nd out of 600+ competitors at the World Championships was one of the highlights of my career. It showed me that I could compete at the highest level. But it also showed me where I needed to improve. Since then, I’ve been focused on closing that gap, spending time in practice, improving my routines, and learning from every competition I’ve entered.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been rewarding beyond measure. From early mornings and late nights of training to traveling across the country for competitions, every moment has been a step toward my ultimate goal of being the best in the world.

Now, with the 2025 World Championships in sight, I’m ready to take the next step. This is my chance to compete against the best and bring all of my years of preparation to the international stage.
