Help Evaleigh Get a Life-Changing Service Dog !

Hello. My name is Evaleigh Buckner. I was born on February 14, 2005. All my life I have struggled with chronic depression and anxiety, ADHD, complex PTSD, and have recently been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and agoraphobia. I used to have big plans to work in and out of highschool, go to community college, animate at BYU, and own a small apartment. My schizophrenia manifested in my early teens and I've been trying to put myself together ever since realizing the abuse and neglect I'd suffered all my life. Where I've made improvements, I've also come across devastating roadblocks. I never got to be a real teenager, and I don't have a life outside of my home. I can't go anywhere alone, I can't drive, I can't use public transport, and I can't work. Even though I very desperately want all of these things.

I want a service dog to help me feel safe enough to leave home. I would train it to help me manage my delusions and help keep people at a distance if need be. A service dog would help me feel safe talking to people and going on buses or into new places. I want friends, I want a life. I believe a service dog is the next step. Funds will go towards getting a service dog and training it, as well as certification and vet expenses.

Currently, I'm working on my digital cinematography and visual arts degree with Full Sail University Online. I love drawing, videogames, movies, funk, soul, and showtunes. I live in the Denver metro area and I love Colorado and the scenery. Someday I want to visit my family in San Jose again and I want to swim in the ocean. I eventually want to work as a film editor, but I also would love to work at a daycare.
I need help to pay for a service animal. I can't do this on my own. I know this isn't the most pressing matter on this site, and I commend any donors giving to other people on here. If you donate to help me, I would be eternally grateful, and if not, I hope you donate to someone else on this site. So many wonderful people need help and I want them to find it.
To anyone reading this, thank you for your time. I hope you are safe and happy. I hope you have a wonderful life.
