Help Evacuate my Sister and her Family from Gaza

My name is Lutfi AbuGhazala, I’m a Palestinian-American from Gaza living in the USA. For 78 days I have tried everything I could possibly do to evacuate my sister and her family from Gaza, from filing the crisis intake form to contacting the US State Department and even my senators but unfortunately to no avail.

I am reaching out to all of you with this difficult request to help save my sister and her family in Gaza from being killed whether it is by an Israeli airstrike, lack of food and clean water, or lack of medication. My sister’s name is Huda, my brother-in-law Hesham and their kids Lubna (11 years old), Ahmed (8 years old), and Youssef (4 years old), they are all stuck in Gaza and require financial support to evacuate the Gaza Strip immediately.

Here’s a little bit about my sister and her family:

My sister, my brother-in-law and their kids have lived their whole lives in Gaza and survived many aggressions. My sister and her husband are accountants and they worked very hard their whole lives to provide a comfortable life for their children. My niece and nephews are full of energy, they like to read, paint, and play. They have the most wonderful imaginations and like every child in the world their wish is to be safe and live as a normal kid and have normal kid experiences.

My nephew Ahmed (8 years old) asked his mom if everyone in the whole world is going through what they are going through in Gaza and if the whole world is being bombed like Gaza! He thinks what they are experiencing is normal! And my niece Lubna (11 years old) asked us to pray for them to live and not die! They are too young to be thinking about being killed and surviving!

These little kids have lived through multiple aggressions and do not know that the rest of the world is safe and does not get bombed every few months! This tells you a lot about how much it is affecting them and causing them trauma. I pray to God every day to keep them safe and not experience any more harm.

After October 7th, my sister and her family had to evacuate to the south and leave their beautiful safe home in Northern Gaza and they only carried the essential stuff and had to leave their home, memories, and everything else behind. They do not know if their house is still standing, the last they heard was their area got bombed multiple times and their house was affected severely by it.

Since October 7th, they have been displaced multiple times, and yesterday my sister was pleading to me to help her find another safe place in the south after their area, which in the south, has been ordered to be evacuated by the IDF but unfortunately, we still have not found them any place to keep them safe in Rafah. Every day it is getting more dangerous and unsafe to be in the Gaza Strip. Food, water, and medication are very hard to find nowadays as well and there are no more safe areas to evacuate to.

I haven’t seen my sister since 2018, which was the last time I was in Gaza. Please help me evacuate my sister and her family and let it not be my last memory of them.
