Help evacuate Mahmoud to safety. Gaza emergency

Hello everyone,

I began organising this fundraiser in December on behalf of my friend Mahmoud Ghrbawi and his family, citizens of Gaza who like many Palestinians have been displaced many times and are suffering under the heavy bombardment from the occupation since October 2023. His family, which consists of 8 people, have very little means of escaping these terrifying conditions but despite this, Mahmoud is still putting a smile on children's faces by providing entertainment through his talent in parkour. You can see from his Instagram videos that he loves to give strength and support to the children. He has a kind, strong and resilient soul, and is extremely talented in parkour which he has been practicing since he was a child. Mahmoud has big dreams of continuing to practice and compete in this sport; he was also diligently studying at college before the war, but he has been hindered due to the brutal occupation.

Unfortunately, his home and his neighbourhood has been completely destroyed which you can see in the pictures below. He has nowhere to return to and trying to find the basic necessities is very difficult and expensive. He has witnessed several wars in his lifetime due to the occupation forces, but especially now living without a home, lack of food, clean water, sanitary products, and other basic items, life in Gaza has become unbearable. Everything he knew has been destroyed. He has expressed that he loves his family very much and that he wants to evacuate them to anywhere safe. Any place where they don't have to live in constant fear.

Leaving Gaza, his home, is not a situation that anyone wants to be in, however, the indiscriminate war has made it impossible to live in safety. Unfortunately, money has become the biggest obstacle in this situation. Evacuating from Gaza costs thousands per person, and it is impossible to find the money to do so without the generosity of donors.

The world leaders have abandoned the Palestinians, but this doesn't mean that we can't help them. I can assure you that all donations will go towards helping Mahmoud and his family evacuate from Gaza to safety, and also to purchase necessities such as food, water, sanitary products, and medical aid.

This fundraiser is not affiliated with any organizations. I am setting this up at the request of Mahmoud and purely on my intentions after communicating with him on Instagram.

I have been sending him the donations through his uncle who lives in Australia. I have personally sent him money before which I confirmed he received, so it is a trusted method.
