Hi, my name is Samuel Ferté. I’m a 25-year-old French volunteer based in Kharkiv, a city in eastern Ukraine. For the past six months, my team and I have been evacuating civilians from threatened areas. As drones now swarm the frontline en masse, we urgently need vital maintenance funds to keep our missions going.
The organization I work with, Haystov, has been carrying out this work since the start of the invasion. Until early 2025, its members were able to evacuate civilians from some of the most dangerous parts of the front — sometimes just a few hundred meters from Russian positions. However, since spring, we have been facing a new and extremely lethal threat: enemy operators are deploying an ever-growing number of drones. Their accuracy is deadly. Their range can extend up to 20 kilometers.
In early August, one of our members was targeted by an FPV drone on his way to the contested city of Kupyansk. The drone missed the armored car he was driving by only a few meters. The fact that he survived is nothing short of a miracle. That’s why we are now asking you, dear reader, to help us continue our work. Civilians — elderly people, children, mothers, pregnant women — still need to be evacuated despite the extreme conditions.
To continue our missions, we urgently need funds for :
- A starlink subscription that allows us to stay connected even in remote/dangerous areas
- Our warehouse's rent
- Monthly vehicle maintenance: tires, suspension, oil...
- And most importantly, fuel!
Once received, the funds will be transferred to the NGO’s account. Every euro will be accounted for: for each expense covered by donations, we will provide a corresponding invoice or receipt.
