My name is Eva, I am a young woman living in South Carolina.

I love reading, working in my garden, and going hiking with my two dogs. I have always tried to hold on to the simple joys in life and stay positive, even through hard seasons.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and by God’s grace I made it through that battle.

Sadly, the cancer has returned in a much more aggressive form. I have now been diagnosed with Stage IV Triple-Negative Breast Cancer, with metastases to my bones, liver, and other areas of my body. This news has been heartbreaking for me and for my family, especially because many of them live in another country and cannot be here with me during this time.

I am currently receiving intravenous chemotherapy at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

I have to go to the hospital several times a month, and sometimes I also need emergency room care because of severe pain throughout my body. Many days I am confined to bed because I do not have the strength I once had. I am also dealing with extreme fatigue, elevated heart rate and mobility challenges that sometimes require me to use a walker. On top of everything, I am facing high insurance deductibles, medical bills, transportation and gas costs for hospital visits, medications, everyday living expenses, unexpected home repairs, and even clothing needs because I have lost so much weight from treatment.

This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional time. Dealing with the financial burden while also facing so much uncertainty about my health and chronic pain has caused me a great deal of anxiety, panic attacks and stress.

If you are able to contribute, any amount would mean more to me than I can put into words. Your support will help me cover medical expenses, insurance costs, transportation to treatment, medications, and basic necessities while I focus on fighting this disease and taking care of myself.

Ayuda a Eva a luchar contra el cáncer de mama en etapa IV.

Hola, me llamo Eva. Soy una mujer joven que vive actualmente en Carolina del Sur.

Me encanta leer, trabajar en mi jardín y salir de excursión con mis dos perros. Siempre he tratado de disfrutar de las cosas sencillas de la vida y de mantener una actitud positiva, incluso en los momentos difíciles.

Hace unos años, me diagnosticaron cáncer de mama. Gracias a Dios, pude superar esa batalla.

Lamentablemente, el cáncer ha regresado, esta vez de forma mucho más agresiva. Me han diagnosticado cáncer de mama triple negativo en etapa IV, con metástasis en los huesos, el hígado y otras partes del cuerpo. Recibir esta noticia ha sido increíblemente difícil para mí y para mi familia, especialmente porque muchos de ellos viven en otro país y no pueden estar aquí conmigo durante este momento tan duro.

Actualmente estoy recibiendo tratamiento de quimioterapia intravenosa en el Lexington Medical Center de Columbia, Carolina del Sur. Debo acudir al hospital varias veces al mes y, en ocasiones, tengo que ir a urgencias debido a dolores intensos en todo el cuerpo. La mayor parte del tiempo permanezco en cama, ya que simplemente no tengo fuerzas para hacer las cosas que solía hacer. También sufro de ritmo cardíaco elevado y fatiga extrema. Muchos días necesito usar un andador tan solo para desplazarme.

El último año ha traído consigo muchos gastos inesperados, incluidas reparaciones urgentes y otras necesidades relacionadas con mi hogar. Ahora me cuesta mucho cubrir mis gastos médicos, como el elevado deducible de mi seguro de salud, los costos de transporte y combustible para ir al hospital, los medicamentos y otros gastos cotidianos. Además, he perdido mucho peso debido al tratamiento y gran parte de mi ropa ya no me queda bien. Incluso cosas que antes parecían sencillas se han convertido ahora en gastos inesperados.

Ha sido una época increíblemente estresante y emotiva. Lidiar con la carga económica, al tiempo que enfrento tanta incertidumbre sobre mi salud y un dolor crónico, me ha provocado mucha ansiedad,estrés y ataques de pánico.
