My name is Eva, and I am a single mom to three wonderful children who are all on the autism spectrum. For the past year, I have not received any child support, and I am their sole caregiver. Because my children need constant supervision, it’s nearly impossible for me to work a full-time job. Every day, I do my best to provide for them, but lately, it’s been a struggle just to keep us afloat.
We recently had to move out of our rented home and came dangerously close to being homeless. All of our utilities have disconnection notices, I’ve received collection letters, and I am two months behind on car payments. We are barely surviving, and the stress is taking a toll on my mental health. Still, I keep fighting because my kids need me more than ever.
The funds I receive will go directly toward paying our rent, catching up on car and insurance payments, and making sure my children have warm clothing for the winter. I am still working through the process of getting disability benefits for my kids, but right now, we need immediate help. I am asking for kindness and hoping for a fresh start. I have exhausted all my options, and while it’s hard to ask for help, I know I can’t give up. My children depend on me, and with your support, I hope we can face the days ahead with hope and stability.
