Hi everyone,

My name is Eva (they/she) and I am a nonbinary transmasc person who is in active danger from my family if I remain in the same city as them. My medical leave from the job I cannot return to because I am being phased out, is almost at an end (third week of July). I am physically and mentally disabled. This year I've suffered two unaliving attempts, both of which required hospitalization. Even though I was extremely beyond blessed to find a subsidized housing unit a few years ago, my family knows where I live. They have come to my apartment before and dragged me out, or tricked my neighbours into thinking they are good, so I've had to go with them. My father still beats me (I know it is because of dementia now but every time he does that it reminds me of all of his extreme physical abuse from when I was younger). My mother also abuses me, and subjects me to name-calling, weight-shaming, ableism, homophobia, and transphobia.

I am asking for funds because I need to stay in Ottawa for a week with some friends to help me go to employment agencies there and to see if I can look at subsidized housing units that may be available there. I am asking for some funds to help cover the cost of a 5-day or so hotel stay and ride-share transportation for when I will be there, and if folks can help me offset the costs of the train ticket as well. I am trying to do this as cost-effectively as possible with my limited funds.

If folks can chip in some coins, it would mean a lot to me because my abusive family members are not going to stop their abuse, and I need to have safety.
