Help Eva Egerton Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My name is NeShea Thompson and I need you to know that my dear beloved elementary music teacher, Eva Egerton, lost most of her home during Hurricane Helene. As most of you know, Ms. Egerton has inspired so many students throughout the years, including myself. I am a music teacher today because of her!
I grew up in the Atlanta area and Eva was not only my teacher, but she also taught me private violin lessons through high school, provided countless solo and ensemble opportunities, and directed countless musicals for not only me, but hundreds of children. I currently live in Kissimmee, FL (near the mouse) and I have visited Cedar Key where Eva has her home. She is in great need of raising the home so that it does not continue to flood from hurricane surge. She had just remodeled from last hurricane season and was so proud of her home. Now she’s lost everything but the structure itself. Her plan is to lift the home while keeping it accessible for herself. While insurance has helped some, it won’t be enough to accomplish her needs.
Between all the students she’s taught and all the music she has shared with people, I strongly believe we can help her rebuild her home to make it hurricane strong. She loves Cedar Key dearly, and I want to make it safe for her to remain there in her golden years!
No amount is too small!!!! Please consider giving to my mentor and friend, Eva Egerton. Let’s band together and make this happen for her!!!!
