In May, my beautiful daughter Eva went to her doctor to get a suspicious lump checked. A couple weeks later, we were facing an uncertain, scary future as Eva was diagnosed with Stage II Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Luckily, she caught it early and we got the best prognosis from her oncologist that we could hope for. He's sure she'll be finished with chemotherapy before Christmas.

Eva is a kind, compassionate person who can make friends with just about anyone she meets. She didn't have an easy start in life, but she's turned those difficult life lessons into strengths. She mentors young abuse victims and creates amazing art with watercolors and pressed flowers. She's always used her art as a way to cope with her trauma, so each of her pieces has an incredibly powerful emotion to them. I'm so proud of my little one.

 

Eva spent her 21st birthday cutting her hair and resting from her first dose of chemo, which was a couple days beforehand. She usually has tons of energy and never slows down, but she's had to quit working, because treatment exhausts her. Otherwise, she's handling chemo like a boss! Her positive attitude has remained intact regardless of the circumstances. After she beats this cancer, I know she'll be unstoppable.

 

In just a month's time, Eva's medical bills have skyrocketed, and she's been really stressed and worried, especially since she's unable to work right now. This is not only for medical bills, but for her everyday expenses. She has a car she’s paying off, insurance, groceries, and rent - and while she’s undergoing treatment, she has zero income coming in. Any kind of donation will give her some peace of mind and will be so appreciated!
