I never thought I would get to this point- but I need all the help I can get right now. On the Fourth of July , a woman broke into a stole my CRV. A few days later it was found, and I had to pay a tow fee of a few hundred dollars just to get it.

everything inside my car besides a few things was taken. Including my catalytic converter.

I have no travel permit, title, etc and will have to pay to replace items such as my birth certificate.

I had only planned to be in Portland for another 2-3 weeks before moving back with family.

now that my car is screwed, I don’t have nearly enough to get it running in time to move.

As some know, my car is my lifeline. I cannot do the job I love & adore without it. I teach science all over the Portland / Vancouver areas. So this situation isn’t just about my car, but it effects my job severely and will cause me to push off moving which means I have no place to live. So if anyone reading knows of someone who needs a roomate or has a place I can stay for a few weeks- that would also help and I of course will figure out how much I can afford in exchange.

if I can’t figure anything out, I will have to dump my car and just fly to California but I really do not want to end up there with no vehicle or money because that will make getting a job even harder.
