Help Eurydice Recover After Car Accident
Donation protected
In February 2025, I was t-boned on the driver’s side, taking the full impact on my dominant side. The accident made my pre-existing conditions much worse and left me with new health challenges. I was severely concussed but discharged from the emergency room without any concussion testing or imaging. Since then, my migraines and vertigo have gone from a few times a month to almost daily, and I’m living with constant pain in my left arm. This pain makes it difficult to do my job, which requires fine motor skills, and even a few hours of work can leave me in significant discomfort. Despite this, I often push through because the work still needs to get done.
An MRI also revealed a cystic structure on the right side of my neck, dangerously close to a nerve. Recently, I’ve started experiencing nerve pain, and I’m worried the cyst may be pressing on the nerve or growing. I work in public sector research, which is already underpaid and now further strained by government funding freezes. Shortly after the accident, I lost a work-from-home job that provided supplemental income, making it even harder to keep up with bills and medical expenses. I had to stop physical therapy because I couldn’t afford it, and I’m struggling to maintain access to essential care like therapy and neurology appointments. Hospital bills keep arriving, and it’s become nearly impossible to cover even basic living expenses like rent.
I’ve been handling this on my own, picking up odd jobs like babysitting when I can, but it’s not enough. This fundraiser would give me a real chance to get out of medical debt, return to the care I need, and finally focus on healing instead of just surviving.
