Help Eurico Recover from LA Fires
My nephew, Eurico Senna, experienced a significant setback this week due to the LA fires. He had just moved back into a friend's house in Altadena when the Eaton fire occurred on Jan 8, forcing him to evacuate quickly in the middle of the night with only limited items he was able to gather. He texted his mom (my sister Rebecca Harvala) as he was leaving saying, “It’s a disaster in every sense of the word.”
Unfortunately, the house was completely destroyed by the fire. Eurico lost personal items, clothing, furniture, important documents, books, family photos, and work equipment for his kids’ classes in capoeira, parkour and Spider Martial Arts stunt team. He lost several boxes he was storing for family in Brazil, including two MacBooks.
Our family is raising funds to help Eurico recover from these unexpected losses.
Donations will go toward:
• Recovering lost work equipment (i.e., instruments, drone, amp for recording, Spiderman suits, props)
• Replacing essential documents, personal items, computer, clothing, shoes
• Assisting with immediate expenses as he focuses on securing stable housing
Thank you to those who have already reached out asking how you can help. He’s staying with his mom in Long Beach until he finds an affordable room to rent. He’s working part-time at Brasil Brasil Cultural Center, LA Parks and Recreation, and Uber Eats, and is looking for additional work. He has given so generously to others, and we would love to ensure the love and care flow back to him during this difficult time.
Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Obrigada, Kiitos!
Paula Harvala Thrall (Eurico’s auntie/tia in MN)
